His first film short, f8, won Best Animated Film Short at the Hollywood Film Festival in 2001. Howard Wen, Screenwriter Howard is a full-time writer in Dallas, Texas, whose credits include Wired, Salon.com, Playboy.com and SPIN. His article about Star Wars fans who build fully working R2D2s was the cover for the Volume 2 edition of MAKE Magazine. He collaborated with his brother Jason on the script for f8. Presently, he's developing a screenplay centered on the "cosplay" scene and the virtual worlds of online video games, which he pitches as "The Wizard of Oz meets Tron," though nonsensical as that may sound. |
